The Gift of a Smile

Have you ever seen somebody get the gift of a quilt and NOT smile ?
Me either !
I gave away 5 quilts this Christmas.
Two went to a lady who just had preemie twin girls that weighed 4 pounds and are doing great !
One to a man that I admire, respect, trust and love with all of my heart.....
My big brother.

One, I talked about HERE , went to a freind and one to my sister.

What's the best gift a quilter could ever get ?
 THAT SMILE .
May your New Year be Happy, Healthy and abundantly Blessed.

And I'll bet you were smiling just as much! It's wonderful to both give and receive a quilt. You have given them a little bit of your legacy to treasure. :)

Lovely quilts and great smiles. When you take the time to make something for someone the best gift to get in return is the thank you and smile.

It's really hard for me to give a way a quilt - all the time and work and fabric add up to a big investment for me. But when I see their eyes light up and the smile hit their face, it's so worth it! blessings, marlene

Anyone who has been touched by you smiles. You have that way about you. A quilt from you is over the top! Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Have a safe and happy new year, my friend. Sorry I've been absent. I'm slowly getting caught up with my blog reading....

In the words of Paul McCartney - "In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you give."!!! You have shared some love for sure. You have a lucky family! Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to see what you do in 2015.

And the thing about your quilts Vickie is that you stitch with love, that adds magic to every quilt you make, of course they bring smiles!! :)

Bless you :) So much love in a quilt. I restored a quilt for my daughter and.... got a Big Smile. It has been on my sewing room floor for at least a couple of years. Poor thing. I had to redo the borders and had a hard time finding the right fabric. Feels so GOOD to have it returned to her.

This year we will make more :) quilts
Happy sewing in 2015!
