Butter & Marmalade - Bloggers Quilt Festival

I just found out about the Blogger's Quilt Festival from my extremely talented blog friend Rachaeldaisy  of  Blue Mountain Daisy. She has an entry in the quilt festival that you can check out here
Thanks Amy, this is a great thing you do ! ..... AND
thank you for stopping by to have a look around More Stars in Comanche.

This is my photography entry  #11
 BUTTER & MARMALADE
I love all the fabrics Bonnie and Camille design, Marmalade was no exception.
The Dresden is one of my favorite patterns of all time.
I machine appliqued it, which equal, a peiceful easy feeling for me.
And the quilting as you can see...... is nothing short of amazing !

I wanted you to see this photograph as well. Look at the beautiful view beyond my Butter & Marmalade.
We have a 10 acre trap just out the front door that is a sea of orange and white flowers right now.

Quilted Butter & Marmalade

The Butter and  Marmalade quilt that I made for the Dare to Dresden blog hop back in January is quilted, bound, and ready to be entered in the Heart of Texas Quilt Show next week.

I wanted to share a few pictures I just took on this beautiful day, in the sun and wind. I hope you'll be able to see the amazing quilting Angela of Quilts With A Heart did on it. She has won numerous awards for her quilting and "sew" do the people who own those quilts.
I hope that happens to me next week.

The backing and candy stripe binding are Moda Marmalade.

Isn't Angela's quilting wonderful !

Did I mention that my Texas mug rug got most creative last Tuesday ?
I was "sew" thrilled, I did a happy dance in the kitchen that morning !
I love you Mom
Have a great day and God bless You.

They Dared Me to Mama

Hi Y'all, Thanks for stopping by to visit me and "The Ranch Patrol"
Who happen to be in a bunch of trouble right now !  (Short story follows. )
I love blog hops! They're "sew" much fun, don't you think ?
During this hop, I've certainly found more blogs I like, with oodles of information and tons of inspiration.
Christine ,*giggle* and  Madame Samm ,
Many thanks to you girlies for putting it all together for the rest of us to enjoy !
"Sew", here's is the quilt I made for this hop.
I call it....... Butter and Marmalade !

Why Butter ? Because, the Kona cotton I chose for the background
reminds me of smooth, sweet, creamy butter!
Why Marmalade Because I used Bonnie and Camille's  fabric they call Marmalade!
I love those cows on the butter box.

The backing and binding arrived in the mail today from Fort Worth Fabric Studio.
I'm so anxious to get it quilted !

I put together a Butter and Marmalade Tutorial you'll find it up in the tabs ,
If, your "sew" inclined to go take a look.

I have a "Tidbit" about that board with the reflector on it in the tutorial.

"Sew" here's the story .
I was trying to get out of the wind, so I went down to the barn to take pictures.

I had the quilt below with me so I could take picture of it. While my back was turned.......
ONE of the Ranch Patrol peed on it !  I know, disgusting !!
Of course I washed it RIGHT AWAY......well, right after the entire Ranch Patrol got a good chewing out with a few choice words !
I made it in 1994 out of actual 1930's fabric that a lady named Fanny gave to me.
It's hand appliqued and hand quilted
It looks better after being washed anyway.
"Sew" sorry for the dark picture, taken in the house, cloudy day, ya da ya da.

Meanwhile, back at the house...
No one has confessed to the crime..... as of yet.
Just look at that innocent  face .

I've been blown away at all the beautiful things people have made for this hop !
I hope you'll go visit all of them and get some inspiration for yourself !
Enjoy !
And don't forget to check out Madame Samm's Pinterest ! Each hop has it's own  board

Have a wonderful day and may God bless You.
