Tammy Goes to South Dakota

On the road again
I just can't wait to get on the road again
Goin' places that I've never been.
Seein' things that I may never see again
I can't wait to get on the road again
Thank you for that intro Willie !
(Carol S. will be singing this song all day ! hehe)

Meet my Tammy !
She and I are about to take a road trip to South Dakota to see my Mama on her 89th birthday !

Happy birthday Mama ! (88 here)

I'll also get to see my brother... he cracks me up !

And  I'll see my 3 crazy, funny, wonderful sisters !

I'm "sew" excited, I just can't hide it !
(There's another song for you Carol. hehe )

 Anyway, on with my bag....

I made my Tammy out of some Kaffe Fassett fabric that I bought at the Brownwood quilt show last April. When I bought it I thought to myself ,
" What in the world am I going to make with this ? This style is so not me !"
 Ta Da !

She's all packed and ready for the road trip to South Dakota !
Are you wondering what's in there ?
well....let me show you !

I have 2 embroidery projects, (something with Texas on it, are you surprised ?  )  the trusty needle threader, marking pen, Clover seam ripper,  (you never know when you'll need to "unsew" something),
my Precencia and Aurifill threads, my scissors, and of course my up close and personal specs.
This should keep me busy while Ranch Man drives.... don't you think ?.

These specs are 3 or 4 years old, so evidently this fabric was more my style than I thought !

OK, so last week Lynn let a cat out of  her bag, and I made the statement to someone, about wondering if I could get a chicken in mine, so..... I opened my Tammy and called the chickens.
Here chick chick !

Fonzie, the rooster with the big red comb, decided he should look the situation over first.

Then he thought he better call the girls and get their opinion .

By the look on their faces, I think they must have decided..... I was clucking crazy !

This pattern Madame Samm gave us was a fun and easy to sew.
THANK YOU very much Samm for all of
YOUR hard work!
Now,  go take a peek at all the other Tammy creations to see what they stuffed in their bags !
 June 17th (monday)

Vickie You're here with me and the chickens !

June 18th (tuesday)

Have a wonderful day and God bless you.

Oh, I hope you enjoy your bag on your trip. I sure could have used one on my trip last Friday. I was using a tiny, tiny ziplock bag. I was to get back to my home airport at 4:05 and didn't get back until 10:35 and had to wait over 2 hours for a ride after that. So, trying to hand piece out of a tiny ziplock bag all day was not fun. I'm talking the tiny, tiny snack size. And, not only the size, yours is beautiful and not see-thru. I'm in awe of your bag. I think it's fun to make something every now and then that's just fun, maybe something that's not our style so much. I had to get new Rx specs (no cheaters allowed). The opthamologist was specific about that. So, I got a pair of not wild, but more fun sunglasses since I have to wear my glasses all the time now. I've had lots of compliments on them. I bet you get lots more compliments on your bag, too. I like that you put a light lining in it - easier to find things in it. Great job!

Vickie your bag fabric is beautiful. I don't think a chicken or a rooster would have fit in the bag, but if you had any little chicks around that would have been a cute photo. Still it was fun to see the expressions on the rooster and chickens as they inspected your Tammy bag.
Happy birthday to your mom too. My mom will be 87 in Sept.
