I just want to celebrate !

I danced out of my sewing room, quilt in hand... singing to Ranchman !

I just want to celebrate another day of sewing
Oh, I just want to celebrate another day of fun

Don't let this big thing get you down,
Don't let it turn you around and round,
Oh, I just want to celebrate...celebrate
Because the Grand Illusion mystery quilt  is finished!

This is a very big quilt with 3000 and 25 seams, or something like that.
I'm kidding, I have no idea how many, but it's A-LOT.
You might have noticed my outside border is different.
I turned it the opposite direction because I simply like it better this way.
I'm thinking I'll bind it with the gray polka dot.

I'll be showing it to my quilt guild next week, then it's off to Angela .

I'm finished and happy with it.
Yes it's true, I just want to celebrate !

Have a wonderful week, God bless you.

I love love love the colour choices you made!! And yours does not look so busy like a lot of them do!! It moves beautifully! (I agree the grey polkadot would make a perfect binding!!)

Oh my golly goodness!! Congratulations on finishing. That quilt is amazing!! There's so much piecing in it. I love the colours and fabrics you've used, they've really come together and look so full of spark. I'd be singing that fun song too if I'd made such a gorgeous quilt top.

That is one awesome quilt and certainly worth celebrating! You have such a great eye for color - I especially love the black dot fabric - it sets everything off so beautifully! You must have been burning the midnight oil and stitching at warped speed. Its gorgeous!

Wow, that is a lot of seams, blocks, and stitches (even if you might have exaggerated it a bit in grand Texas style...lol!) It looks beautiful!

Vicki. That is a beautiful quilt and I would be dancing, too, if I finished something that big. Kudos to you and I hope Ranchman sang along with you! Say "hi" to Titus.

SEW my dear.......
You see, time and strength to get to the end and .... It is finished and with a smile to boot :) I think it looks FABULOUS! The grey image proves it all worked out. Love the border! Hugs for you!

Thanks for leaving your sweet smile at The Girlfriend Gap :) I'm not sure it will be a whole quilt of flannel stars. Initially it was for the back of a quilt.... just a few blocks. I am making a repeat of a denim quilt I made a while back. It had a flannel back. Sometimes I am so unsatisfied with how flannel washes. Why does it turn bumpy? It doesn't always stay soft. I have been sleeping on some flannel sheets that were driving me crazy. I finally had to take them off the bed and go back to my regular cotton sheets. That totally bums me. So more often than not I mix flannels with cottons. Time will tell. The stars are so soft right now. A whole quilt of them is tempting :)

Wow can't believe it is Saturday. Where do the days go? Hope to do some sewing yet today. Maybe even a winter walk. The days are warming up. It should be beautiful next week.

Take care,
Your sweet Sewing Sister in Christ,
Janita
