That is beautiful! It could well be a real Vogue cover! Gorgeous! I remember the fish nets from the 80's.....so you could say they continued! Although, in my world, the fish net was not really deemed appropriate ware.... Mmmmm go figure! Thanks for your gorgeous cover girl!

Well yeah....looking for a chicken. Maybe there should have been a little tie dyed one hanging out at the bottom. Very cool wall hanging, and I so remember my mother wearing a dress that style that she made.

Vickie-That hair-do is classic 60's. I had my hair styled just like that for my hs grad pic in the early 60's. Turquoise was one of the popular colors which I love. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for being part of this fun hop.

How clever of you to make a magazine cover for this, Vickie! Mad skills on photo editing. I guess chickens would have been out of place on that cover but you did NOT disappoint us today with a fun post.

Lyndsey said...

Wow I love your magazine cover Captured the 60's perfectly.

InGa said...

Nice cover of the Vouge magazine. :-) You are very clever editing.
I used to buy this magazine and copy their patterns and make my own dresses, back then... do you belive.:-)
I did not expect a chicken this time, but I would not have surprised either...hehe.

Malini said...

Wow! this is stunning! I really loved how you presented this as a magazine cover.
I love your blog banner. very cute!

You bet she's groovy! Love the magazine. When I was very young we had a Vogue fabric store only blocks away. That was in the 50s so it may have been one of their early stores. I don't think the store and magazine have any connection though.

Sarah said...

I absolutely adore your wall hanging - and it was especially fun to see my name in print :)

Joyce Carter said...

Great job on the magazine cover, Vickie! I really like how you presented it. Your girl looks totally awesome. I remember Vogue patterns and that dress looks so familiar. I think I use to have one very similiar to that. And, of course, we all wore beads. I remember having a string of "pearls" that you snapped together. (Sure miss the chicken though.) Thank you so much for sharing.

Kwilt Krazy said...

That is totally Vogue :) Really cool man!
