Pin It Hop

My Ranch Patrol Foreman is so  talented !
Welcome to the 2nd day on the "pin it" blog hop extravaganza !
Thank you Kristen  (with the beautiful smile), from Meadowbrook
for your leadership on this hop!
And thank you to our friend, Madame Samm
whom we all regard with high esteem, because she cares about,
 and encourages the talent of quilting women all over the world !
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Below are the other talented "Pinners" I'm sharing this day with.
~~~~~~~~~
OK
See the photo below ?
This is how it used to look when I did hand work while watching TV in the evening....
messy and actually a bit dangerous.
But not anymore !
I've been going to make an armchair pin cushion for quit some time and this hop was the push I needed...although I did put off making it until Monday...yes, that's right, this past Monday.
I'm beginning to think I'm a Deadline Diva !
I love this thing and I needed it !
The fabric is Maison de Garance by French General.
 Oo- La- La Magnifique !
I fussy cut and appliqued the flower, then quilted everything before I bound it all together.
The finished dimension is 7" x 21"
Oh, you knew I would have to make a chicken pin cushion to match didn't you ?
 I would have let you down if I didn't !
I saw the tutorial HERE @ Sew We Quilt !
Meet Clara Cluckmore.
I made her with half square triangles. Yes, those are real feathers.
No, I didn't go pluck my chickens, they're molting right now.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT !
September 15th will be 1 year that I've been blogging @ More Stars in Comanche,
 "SEW", I must have a pin cushion giveaway to celebrate
This is Mrs Wilma Wishbone.
She's looking for a new home...."too many chicks around here"...she thinks !
Hmmm....let's see...to enter, leave Wilma a comment about if you like eggs / or not  .
(things like that matter to a chicken you know)
She will draw for a winner at the end of the hop. Anyone, Anywhere can enter !
Good luck and God bless you.
Love your armcair cushion/caddy - great fabrics and love the fussy cut. I don't eat a lot of eggs, but prefer the extra large when I do.
That armchair caddy is great. I love the flower. The before picture describes the sewing situation here perfectly. Do you ever stick the pins in your trousers for safe keeping? I do and boy, is it a bad idea.... Still do it!
Dear Wilma. I love to eat eggs (sorry dear). My favourite recipe is to scramble two eggs with a chopped onion and a chopped tomato. While they cook I add some Feta cheese and pepper. Amazing!
Nati said...
I love eggs and I really want Wilma to come home (for a little while) and then I know someone that loves hens that would love to get her!
Dear Mrs. Wilma Wishbone, I love eggs, I like them soft boiled, I like them baked with the sunny side up or down and I like them when little chickens come out. I hope you'll find a nice home with a lot of chicken appreciation. Good luck in the drawing and bon voyage!
Adore your poochie...thanks for the chuckle. I saw this pattern for the armchair pincushion and bookmarked it for later, but now that I've seen yours I think I'll have to make it sooner :) Awesome work! Dear Wilma, alas I am allergic to eggs and therefore cannot eat them.
Thearica said...
I do love your armchair pincushion! Gives me an idea for an armchair chatalain! (sp)
I love eggs and eat them about 3 times a week. I like to scramble them and put them on Sunbeam bread, doused with Kraft mayonnaise.
My sister Charlotte on the other hand hates eggs... When she was little she would cry if mother made her eat eggs. We were up at my granny's house one morning so mother and granny could put away corn from the garden. Mother had made a huge breakfast and had left me and my 3 siblings sitting at granny's table eating. We were all staring at Charlotte because she was not eating her eggs.... we knew she was gonna get in troubleeeee... Uncle Tulon came through the house and told her to just move her eggs around on the plate and scatter them along the edges so it would appear that she had eaten some.
Well, she did... and well.... I told on her... She has never let me forget that. lol
Sew cute! I need to make me one of those arm chair pin cushions. Wilma is a cutie! I love her beaded hair. Eggs are great. I like them fried, in bacon grease the best (totally unhealthy, but, who cares). If your chickens don't want to lay eggs, you can always threaten to turn them into chicken & dumplings. Yummy either way!
Jacqueline said...
Yes I like eggs.. and Wilma is my sisters name so that seems to me that Wilma should come home with me.
Thanks for sharing and a chance at your give a way.
Love the armchair caddy. I need one too, just need motivation to do it. Like eggs now, used to hate them. Don't know what changed but it did. However, I prefer "farm eggs" instead of eggs bought in the grocery store. There IS a difference in taste!
Congrats on a top 2 finish of the day - very well deserved and congrats on a year of blogging. I love to read your posts. I love your arm chair pin cushion. I think every sewing person needs one. I tend to use the arm of my chair as a pin cushion and even think about that when I purchase a chair - no leather for this gal. Do I like eggs? Yes, yes, yes. And fresh eggs are the best. One of the reasons I'm late and only getting to this day's hop now is that I'm visiting my daughter in NM and until today I've fixed and egg burrito for one of my two grandboys for breakfast every day before school. I didn't today because I have a migraine so Daddy did. Mrs. Wilma Wishbone would have have a happy home with two cats. Blue used to be my favorite color and now is in a race with pink since I'm a breast cancer survivor. She is a hot mess! I love her bead work. You are very creative, a generous and creative person. Thanks for participating and cheering me and others up with your blog. Did you make a pattern for you arm chair pin cushion? It's amazing!
