Pokin Around

Yippee Yi Ki Yay !
It's finally the 28th ! I've been waiting impatiently to share my little ME with you !
Well.... First off, I must tell you, Me likes western movies, and cowboy shows like Bonanza, The Rifleman, etc. Yes, I really do !
Well, I kind of have to, living with Ranch Man.
The day I was making my ME, I was digging around in my stash looking for striped fabric.
 Guess what ? ....I didn't have any !
And, Ranch Man was watching Lonesome Dove..... again.

Great movie !

 Picture this in your mind.
Me digging around in my fabric stash...... Ranch Man watching Lonesome Dove......
AT THE EXACT MOMENT  I found some cute, coordinating polka dot fabric......
Gus was asking Lori to cut the cards for a poke !
DING DING DING ! BELLS ! WHISTLES ! LIGHT BULBS ! FOG HORNS !
The funny wheels in my mind  began drag racing !
Laughing "sew" hard, about to pee my britches,
(not really,  just "sew" you'll have a visual )
I headed into the living room to tell Ranch Man what I was going to do.
Believe it or not, my rough and rugged cowboy was astonished that I was even thinking about writing a post like that !
I said, "Hey, it's funny, I have an incredible sense of humor, I can make it clean, and I have been poked polked alot,  HEY,  it happens when you pin fabric all the time,  and there's no blog police to arrest me ! "
 (There's isn't...is there? )
"Sew", here's the self portrait of Polka Dotted Me !

A close up of her diamond studs.   :o
Isn't that sewing machine fabric too cute !
Oh that Polka Dotted Hussy ! On a roll of hay !

If you're not reading this, it means the blog police found ME, arrested ME and took my ME post off the blogging airways !

But you can still go visit all these other creative ME'S !

Thank you Marlene and  Madame Samm for all of your hard blog hop work, and especially Amy Bradley for generously GIVING us this cute pattern !
I hope you've had fun visiting ME and all the other blogs.
Stay happy until the next hop !
 You better go stick an
 up your sleeve !
HEHE
God bless You !

Cute post..Cute quilt. You hooked me with the westerns. Gunsmoke at 5 at my house every nite..5 to 7. Starts with the very oldest which I call Big Hat Matt cause his hat was bigger in the oldest ones.

Really love your sense of humor too. This has been a great hop.

Give me an old time western ANY day of the week! John Wayne played in our house every week when I was growing up... So did Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Big Valley, The Rifleman, The Lone Ranger... acckkk.. I could go on and on..

TV is definitely NOT what it once was! Bring back the good ole' tv!

Love your YOU and the story gave me a chuckle!

By the way.. Your word verification thingy is on and I had to rewind it 5 times to get one legible enough to read... Almost clicked off without commenting.

Too, too funny! I think you chose just the right fabrics to tell your story----lot the dots! You kept it clean!!

My husband is not a ranch man but he loves the "Lonesome Dove" series and westerns in general. We have them in DVD but he would still stop to watch it if they were showing it on TV too, LOL. (Paint Your Wagon too but his mom drug him off to the musicals a lot when he was growing up.)

Hahahaha!! Blog police, eh? Read the whole thing, so you must be safe. ;)

LOVE your little "me"! Polka dots are my favorite! And I spent so much time around those round bales as a kid. I was the only one of the three girls in the family that could roll those on my own when Dad was gone. That and the hay ring I put around them. Rolled that one like a hamster wheel! Thanks for bringing back some memories!
